Kiosk-Mode Overview
Kiosk-Mode allows you to create a Survey that Respondents access
from a common computer, or "Kiosk", without needing a unique Username and
Password. This option is commonly used in workplaces where Respondents don't have
individual email addresses or convenient access to computers.
Kiosk-Mode Projects are created almost exactly like other Projects with only a few
exceptions. Those differences are explained here in the online help.
After a Kiosk-Mode Project has been created and synchronized, a URL is generated
by WebResponse and placed on the Kiosk computer.
Respondents log in using a common login, called a passcode, that you assign when
setting Kiosk Options. If you enable a Passcode, Respondents will
be assigned a Username and be asked to create and verify a password. If you don't
enable a passcode, Respondents simply click the Kiosk shortcut and enter the survey.
The default Rater Relationship for the project is "Other." However, you
may re-set it to any Relationship used in your project.
IMPORTANT: To activate your Kiosk-Mode Project, you must check Enable Kiosk
Mode in WebResponse after creating and Synchronizing your Kiosk-Mode Project.
This is covered in detail in the step named Kiosk Options
.
