Relationships

A respondent relationship is a phrase that describes the association of the respondent to the subject. Assessment data and comments can be grouped by respondent relationships in feedback reports. 20/20 Insight GOLD contains ten standard respondent relationships within System Manager: Self-evaluation, Other, Group Member, External Respondent, Supervisor, Peer, Direct Report, Associate, Customer and Manager.

Many organizations use relationships to refer to job titles, such as Vice President, Administrative Assistant or Director of Engineering. However, relationships can also describe how respondents are related to an entity. For example, in an Organization Climate Survey, relationships may denote the departments in the organization, such as Sales and Marketing, HR and Shipping.

You may create and use as many respondent relationships as you like within System Manager or a project. Relationship names can be up to 50 characters and the abbreviation can be up to 10 characters in length. Create your respondent relationships within System Manager, Relationships.mdb, if you will be using these relationships in multiple projects.

NOTE:  The abbreviation prints in reports to show the average for that particular relationship. If there is no abbreviation for the relationship, the averages print, but the relationships aren’t shown.
