Item Ratings- Relationships/Comments

This section displays detailed information about the individual items, organized by category.

Results are displayed both as a bar graph and in numerical form. Self-ratings are displayed as a separate bar graph and are not included in the score.

The category name appears on the left, and the items related to the category are listed in natural order (i.e., the order in which they appear in step 4, Items of the project).

Directly beneath each item statement is the distribution of ratings, which shows the number of respondents who gave ratings at each point on the scale (e.g., 2 people may have given a rating of 4, 3 people gave a rating of 5, etc.).

The horizontal bar graphs and corresponding number to the right display the item score on the primary scale, based on the relationship type. The first bar shows the overall score from all respondents. The second bar displays the rating the subject gave self, and the remaining bars show the average ratings given by each rater relationship (e.g., peer, manager, etc.).

Column 1: Displays the scores for each item on the primary scale.

Column 2:  Displays the total number of individuals who rated this item. This number can vary across items because some respondents may have skipped some items.

If any respondents wrote comments about a particular item, the comment appears immediately below the bar graphs. Each dash (-) represents a comment from a different person. This section may be customized to group comments by rater relationship.

Highest-Rated Items

This section reports the scores of the subject’s 5 highest-rated items across all categories. Self-ratings are not included in these averages.

Results are displayed both as a bar graph and in numerical form, from highest to lowest.

Items are shown on the left side of the page, with the related category in parenthesis below it. Beneath the bar graph are comments given by respondents for that item. This section may be customized to group comments by rater relationship.

MULTI-PROJECT Report Sections

Multi-project reports are created in the Advanced Report module of 20/20 Insight GOLD. See the chapter, Advanced Reporting, for instructions on creating reports.

Individual Report Sections

Category Summary – Subject vs. Aggregate

This report section displays the category scores for ONE subject and compares them to the average scores of 1) all subjects in this project and 2) all subjects in all projects in this Advanced Report file.

The category names appear on the left side of the page. Results are displayed as a bar graph and in numerical form.

Scores are displayed in natural order—i.e., the sequence in which categories are listed in the Surveys tab.

Column 1: Displays category scores for the primary scale.

Column 2: Displays the category scores for the primary scale of all subjects in the project.

Column 3: Reports the category scores for the primary scale of all subjects in all projects in this Advanced Report file.

This report section lets subjects compare their scores with the average for their project and for the total population. They can identify categories that are strengths relative to the norm and categories that need improvement because they are lower than the norm.

Category Summary – Current vs. Previous

NOTE: This section can be printed only if a subject is included in at least two projects in this Advanced Report file.

This report section displays the category scores for a recent (current) and an earlier (previous) project, to see if performance has improved in previously low-rated categories.

The category names appear on the left side of the page. Results are displayed as a gap graph and in numerical form, listed from most negative difference to most positive difference.

Column 1: Displays category scores for the primary scale in the current project.

Column 2: Displays category scores for the primary scale in the previous project.

Column 3: Reports the difference between these two sets of scores.

A negative score means that ratings for that category dropped, which shows a lack of improvement. A positive score means that the ratings have gone up since the earlier assessment, indicating that the subject has made improvement in this area.

The difference between the two scores is shown by a gap graph.  A long arrow pointing to the right indicates a significant drop in performance, while a long arrow pointing to the left suggest a significant improvement in performance since the previous assessment.

This report section can serve as needs assessment data for additional training and development programs for the subject.

Item Ratings – Current vs. Previous

This report section displays the item scores for a recent (current) and an earlier (previous) project, to see if performance has improved in previously low-rated items.

NOTE: This section can be printed only if a subject is included in at least two projects in this Advanced Report file.

The items appear on the left side of the page. Results are displayed as a gap graph and in numerical form, listed from most negative difference to most positive difference.

Column 1: Displays item scores for the primary scale in the current project.

Column 2: Displays items scores for the primary scale in the previous project.

Column 3: Reports the difference between these two sets of scores.

A negative score for an item means that ratings for that item dropped, which shows a lack of improvement. A positive score means that the ratings have gone up since the earlier assessment, indicating that the subject has made improvement in this item.
