20/20 Insight GOLD 4.0 System Manager and Project Manager - Technical Requirements:
Listed below are the minimum computer capabilities needed to operate Version 4 of 20/20 Insight GOLD.
Administration Software
Operating system: Windows 2000, XP or higher
RAM: 256 MB minimum
Hard disk space:
- 30 MB for software
- 30 MB (average) for data files
- Project files vary from 300KB (empty) to about 10MB with 1,000 participants.
Optional Email Configuration:
- Extended MAPI-compliant email software, such as MS Outlook, used for e-mail notification of subjects and respondents.
- This is legacy and completely optional. WebResponse is the primary and more robust means of handling emails.
WebResponse Supported Browsers: (No additional ActiveX or plug-ins or extensions required.)
- Internet Explorer 5 and higher
- Firefox
- Chrome
- Safari
WebResponse-Internal for 20/20 Insight 4.0 (for INTERNAL SERVER only)
Web Server administration and support:
A qualified web server administrator on staff who will:
- Install WebResponse
- Create a virtual directory
- Assign permissions
- Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot the Internet Information Server and SQL Server
Server:
- Windows 2000 Server SP2 or greater
- Internet Information Server 5.0 or greater
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or greater
- Access to port 80 using http
- Minimal RAM and hard disk, depending on load
- Survey Participants must have browser access to the webserver hosting WebResponse
Email:
Invitation emails containing the survey links to the WebResponse are an integral part of 20/20 Insight.
The Invitation email can be sent 1 of 2 ways:
Using 20/20 Insight:
This method requires an installation of Microsoft Outlook with a fully functioning default email account.
20/20 Insight links to the Outlook API, called EMAPI, and sends the invitations directly from Outlook’s Outbox
Using WebResponse:
This method requires Persits Software, Inc.’s “ASPEmail” and An active SMTP Server.
These components must be installed and configured for the participant email invitation feature to work properly.

Persits Software, Inc.’s “ASPEmail” and “EmailAgent Windows Service” (included with the registered version of ASPEmail):
ASPEmail is an active server component that enables your Web application to send email messages via any external SMTP server

SMTP Server
An active SMTP Server is required to be used as ASPEmail’s delivery mechanism.
“Microsoft Exchange” is often used, as it is usually already available.
"MailEnable" (http://www.mailenable.com/) or “IMail” (http://www.imailserver.com/) are other options.
