Licensing
The license is the mechanism that allows the subject to be assessed, and must be assigned to each subject of a project. Depending on the type of license assigned to the subject, the subject may be assessed one time or an unlimited number of times.
Two types of licenses are available:
| |
• |
Single-Usage License – SUL (1 subject, 1 project) |
| |
|
This is the pay-as-you-go option. It provides one assessment for one subject in one project. This is the best value for pilot projects or when a subject will be assessed only one time. |

|
| |
• |
Unlimited-Usage License – UUL (1 subject, unlimited projects) |
| |
|
This license provides unlimited assessments for one subject in an unlimited number of projects. This license is the best value when two or more assessments will be created for the same subject. |
System Manager contains a counter that is set or “recharged” for the type and quantity of licenses purchased. Licenses are subtracted from the counter at the time they’re assigned to the subject. Single-Usage Licenses are assigned in Step 1 of a project and are subtracted at that time, while Unlimited-Usage Licenses are assigned in a roster in System Manager and are subtracted then. An Unlimited-Usage License can also be assigned in Step 1 and moved to the roster later.
For information on how to assign licenses to subjects, please refer to Rosters and Projects.
